FIDO’s Backyard PDF Print E-mail

As of May 31, 2010, MCPARC is pleased to announce that the first dog park in Marion County has opened! Thanks to FIDO, (Fairmont Interested Dog Owners) there is now a four acre off-leash area dedicated to the dogs and their owners for their enjoyment.  The new park, titled FIDO’s Backyard, features a double gated entry, separate fenced-in areas for smaller dogs and larger dogs, benches, a wooded area, and a nearby picnic area.

Wave Pool PDF Print E-mail

The Wave Pool, located at East Marion Park, is the only pool of its kind in the tri-state area that offers the comfort of cool water and the chance to "ride the waves".  Flotation tubes are available to enjoy, as well as a concession stand, sand volleyball court, and a waterslide. Picnic tables on a nice deck and grassy areas are also available.

18 holes beckon at this mini golf course that are easy and fun for all ages. The hours of operation are 11:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. daily, weather permitting, from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Police Reserve Building PDF Print E-mail

The Police Reserve Building located above the wave pool is an enclosed building with restrooms, kitchen, heating and air conditioning. It is an excellent facility for reunions, receptions, dances, or other recreational activities. During the school season, the facility is used by the MCPARC Dancers and Occupational Therapy weekly. The price to reserve the building is $160.00 for an all day event. Special rates are available during off-peak season and for meetings.
