MCPARC and the MBA kindergarten through Third Grade Basketball League started on Saturday, Dec. 1^st at the Fairmont State University Falcon Center. Registration can be done at the MCPARC office until December. As always parent volunteers are needed to help with coaching, refereeing and other league duties. Contact the MCPARC office for more information.

The 8th annual Family Fishing Day will be held on good Friday, March 21st at Curtisville Lake. DNR officers will be present to educate and assist children, refreshments will be provided and door prizes will be awarded from 10:00am - 2:00pm.

BMX North East Regional Announced – MCPARC has been selected to host the 2008 North East Regional event in June at the NBL Poor Farm BMX track # 1319. 
The last North East Regional held at the track in 2005 included 435 racers from 15 states.

The West Fork River Trail has been paved from Monongah to Worthington 

The MCTrail is now paved from Fairmont to Pricketts Fort along with a paved trailhead parking lot located adjacent to Pricketts Fort.

Bicycles can be rented at Pricketts Fort State Park . ph # 304-363-3030. 
Group Rental for 10 to 20 bikes is available by contacting MCPARC.

MCPARC is now assisting the county commission with renovations at the 12th Street Pool. Plans are being made to have the pool ready to open for the 2008 pool season.

MCPARC has recently improved the Mary Lou Retton Youth Park A-ball field by removing the old dirt infield and replacing it with grass. (View Pictures)

The new 9-hole woods course at the Morris Park Seth Burton Memorial Disc Golf Course has been completed making it a 27-hole disc golf course and an additional 9 holes are currently under construction. Come out and help out with 2008 Ice Bowl , February 16th at the Seth Burton Memorial Disc Golf Course.
