Our Water and Riverfront Parks

   We are very pleased to make available to the public some very pleasant water and riverfront parks for your enjoyment. From the picturesque waterfalls of Worthington Park to the river-accessible Pump Station Park on the wide Mon River.  If your favorite activities include fishing, boating or waterside walks we're sure you will find one of these parks enjoyable to visit.  Click the park title for more information.

   Located in Worthington, WV, this park is a beautiful 10-acre waterfront facility with a lovely dam and offering softball, pavilion, picnicking, playground, fishing and horseshoe courts.


   The Head of the Mon River Park is located at the point where the Tygart River and the West Fork River join to form the Monongahela River. While accessible by boat, it is a great point for fishing and picnicking.


   Pump Station Park is located on the eastern shore of the Monongahela River just below Millersville. Accessible by boat it has a small pavilion providing a picnic and fishing location. 


  Curtisville Lake offers 695 acres of lush scenery. Around the 30-acre lake, there are hiking trails and picnicking. The lake is periodically stocked by the Department of Natural Resources and the fishing is good. Only non-motorized boats are allowed on this lake.


  Near Colfax the old Eastern , Peabody Coal property has excellent fishing opportunities and unlimited recreational potential.
