Our mission here at MCPARC is to provide you with quality park and recreation areas for all of your leisure activities.
From today's forecast to upcoming events, we wish to extend our mission through the MCPARC website by providing you with all of the information you need on our park and recreation areas.

The purpose of MCPARC shall be to administer a system of public parks and recreation in Marion County, West Virginia.
Consistent with said purpose, the Commission shall:

Promote public interest in recreation and support, foster, and promote recreational activities

Cooperate with, and encourage the participation of other agencies, both public and private, in the accomplishment of the above endeavors

In order to better serve the citizens of Marion County and the visitors to the county, MCPARC has moved into their new office. It is located at 1000 Cole Street, Suite B, next to the new Gateway Connector.
The Marion County Convention and Visitors Bureau is located on the first floor and the MCPARC offices are on the second floor. Click on "Read More" for pictures!

MCPARC has assisted with the creation of the Seth Burton Memorial Disc Golf Course and the Orange Crush Disc Golf Course at Morris Park. There are currently 36 holes with multiple tee and basket placements. Check out www.wvdga.org for tournament and course information. |

MCPARC works closely with the Affiliated Horseshoe Pitchers Association to plan tournaments at both East Marion and Worthington Park. There are also league nights on Thursdays at East Marion Park. For more information contact: Ron Zeni at 304-363-4322. |

The initial stages of the Korean War Veterans Memorial are underway at East Marion Park. The Memorial will be located above the pavilion one parking lot and will be the first object at the park that is seen as you are traveling along the new Gateway Connector road to downtown Fairmont.
