East Marion Park and Pavilions

East Marion Park, A Veterans Memorial Park, otherwise known as "East Marion Park", located on State Street Extension in Fairmont, WV, is a beautiful, complete family park with a variety of recreation opportunities. This 32-acre park offers tennis, horseshoes, pickleball and basketball courts, a softball field, pavilions, playgrounds, picnicking, and the famous "Wave Pool" and water slide. If fun, affordable leisure activities are what you are looking for to accommodate your party, reunion, or company picnic, this is the facility for you to consider.

Facility Rentals at East Marion Park     
  • Pavilion 1 |  $270.00
    The largest pavilion, Pavilion 1 has its own kitchen, restroom facilities, basketball court, and parking. This facility can seat approximately 300 people comfortably and provides picnic tables, electricity, water, and grills.
  • Pavilion 2  |  $180.00   
    The second largest pavilion, Pavilion 2 is surrounded by a deck. This pavilion is close to the pool and restrooms, has electricity, grills, and access to water, with seating for approximately 200 people.
  • Pavilion 3  |  $80.00    
    Near two volleyball courts and the restrooms, Pavilion 3 has electricity, a grill, access to water, and seating for approximately 60 people.
  • Pavilion 4  |  $80.00    
    Near pavilion 3, Pavilion 4 is also close to the volleyball courts and restrooms with electricity, a grill and close access to water.  Seating for approximately 80 people.
  • Pavilion 5  |  $50.00    
    Between the horseshoe pits and basketball courts, with seating for approximately 40 people, Pavilion 5 has picnic tables, electricity, a grill, and access to water.
  • Pavilion 6  |  $80.00    
    Located between the tennis and pickleball courts with close access to the restrooms, Pavilion 6 has seating for approximately 65 people with picnic tables, electricity, a grill and access to water.
  • Band Stand  |  $30.00    
    This small band stand accommodates up to 20, has no electric, water, or grill. Additional picnic tables are in the area.
  • Police Reserve Building  |  $160.00 Full Day
    Located above the wave pool is an enclosed building with restrooms, kitchen, heating and air conditioning. It is an excellent facility for reunions, receptions, dances, or other recreational activities.
  • Central Terrace Gazebo  |  $75/day
    The gazebo is located close to the Central Terrace Building and available for rental year round.  There is no bathroom access January through April and November through December.
  • Central Terrace Building |  $125/day
    Located next to the playground is an enclosed building with a nice bathroom and vanity area, seating up to 40 people, and has two garage doors on each side opening up to either the central terrace gazebo area or the playground. 

Map and Directions

From Jefferson Street High Level Bridge (Downtown):
  • Heading east across the High Level Bridge, go straight through the stop light to enter the Gateway Connector (WV 273N)
  • Continue straight up the hill through two roundabouts to the second stoplight
  • Turn left at the light then take a right at the stop sign
  • East Marion Park will be on your left

I-79 North bound:
  • Take exit 136
  • Take a left at the stoplight, crossing the Veterans Memorial Bridge
  • Take a right at the next stoplight and then a right at the stop sign
  • East Marion Park will be on your left

I-79 South bound:
  • Take exit 136
  • Go straight through the light at the end of the exit ramp, crossing the Gateway Connector
  • Take a right at the stop sign
  • East Marion Park will be on your left
